Daniel graduated with a degree in Textile Engineering from Tianjin University of Technology and holds an MBA from Manchester Business School in UK. He has worked for 25 years in manufacturing , held end-to-end managerial roles across production, quality, supply chain, R&D, and marketing, of which 12 years as China Plant General Manager of several multinational companies of US, Germany and Italy. Daniel has a deep understanding of plant operations in Automotive components, medical devices, machinery manufacturing, and is highly proficient in both Eastern and Western corporate management methodologies and practices.

 

Daniel has long been deeply engaged in the study of diverse management theories and practices from Eastern to Western. Fluent in both Chinese and English, he can skillfully integrates Western management principles with the Amoeba model pioneered by Kazuo Inamori of Japan's Kyocera, applying this hybrid approach flexibly to local enterprises. He has innovatively developed the“Heart + Head”Origin Amoeba® Management System, which could significantly enhances organizational efficiency and profitability. Drawing on his extensive consulting experience, Daniel authored the book《The Leading Edge of the Amoeba Management Model》, a comprehensive synthesis of his profound insights into the embeding of Amoeba Management. The book covers core principles, classic case studies, operational methodologies, visual tools, and templates, making it a veritable textbook that guides readers step by step through the pathways.

Prism consulting’s Intersection with Kazuo Inamori and Kyocera Japan

Over the past 12 years, Daniel Zong has immersed himself in the management philosophy of Kazuo Inamori, reading nearly all of his works and leading 8 delegations of on-site study tours to Japan.

 

During these visits, he toured Kyocera Corporation—founded by Inamori—as well as more than 60 Japanese companies that have adopted the Amoeba Management system, systematically exploring the unique managerial logic and long-term success strategies of Japanese firms in areas such as philosophy-driven management, lean production, the spirit of craftsmanship, innovative thinking, and Eastern-style leadership.

 

Daniel Zong is deeply convinced of Inamori's wisdom-“cultivating one's character and elevates one's career”, in 2018 Daniel donated his book《The Leading edge of Amoeba Management System》to the Kazuo Inamori Memorial Museum.
